Plan to institutionalize gender at MSAS and build capacity in gender mainstreaming techniques

Since 2008, Senegal has been implementing the National Strategy for Gender Equity and Equality (Stratégie Nationale pour l’Équité et l’Égalité de Genre – SNEEG), in order to translate the principle of equality between men and women enshrined in the Constitution into everyday life; The aim of SNEEG is to contribute to the establishment of an egalitarian society, free from discrimination, where women and men have equal opportunities to participate in economic and social life and to enjoy the benefits of development;
