Omicron :
“All our teams are ready, convinced that we can face up to other waves and the battle will be fought and won, but today the most important element of preparation is to get vaccinated. All the vaccines are there except moderna, and now is the time to go all out;

Equipment:
“In 2021, we will have purchased 8 scanners, two MRIs (because before it was difficult to do so in Senegal, at Dalal Jamm and Fann), 12 radio tables, 17 ultrasound machines, 21 mammography machines (each region has benefited) and today, with the acquisition of oxygen plants, we are on the way to becoming self-sufficient in oxygen.5 billion has been injected into the laboratories, not to mention the acquisition of 20 individual dialysis generators for Covid;

Ambulances:
“We have made a very significant investment to provide the country with medical ambulances to evacuate patients, and as a result we have gone from 166 ambulances in 2012 to 462 ambulances that have been distributed as follows: 20 in Kaffrine, 43 in Diourbel, 28 in Fatick, 38 in Kaolack, 15 in Kédougou, 25 in Kolda, 43 in Louga, 38 in Matam, 43 in Saint-Louis, 25 in Sédhiou, 33 in Tambacounda, 23 in Thiès, 25 in Ziguinchor, 63 in Dakar including 40 for the Samu national). As for the national emergency service, it is continuing to establish a nationwide network;
As such, it is present in Dakar, Saint-Louis and Diourbel, and is in the process of being set up in the south to focus on Sédhiou, Kolda and Ziguinchor;

Recruitment:
“We have recruited 1,500 staff, including 500 doctors for the 2021 civil service;
In addition to these 1,500, we have recruited 905 agents as part of a programme covering the 6 regions of Kaffrine, Tambacounda, Kédougou, Kolda, Sédhiou and Ziguinchor; So 1,500 plus 905 seems like a lot for recruitment in one year in the health sector;
